Insurance Processors interpret and accurately process insurance documents into Allied’s advanced tracking system for multiple financial-institution clients. Works in a busy, friendly and collaborative environment, ensuring high turnaround, productivity and quality standards are consistently met. Works in a team environment to meet department goals and benchmarks. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, being available and responsive via email/phone/messaging. This position requires knowledge of a multitude of processes & procedures to accurately process insurance documents.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

DOCUMENT PROCESSING

  • Analyze, and accurately  enter auto mortgage, property and casualty  GAP, AD&D, Vehicle Warranty, Credit Life, and Credit Life& Disability  insurance documents into Allied’s advanced tracking system for financial institution  clients.   This role requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure the integrity of information, but it is not a 'heads-down' data entry position, as it involves navigating intricate document structures and making informed decisions.  This role includes processing collateral types for commercial properties and equipment.
  • Accurately and efficiently working the matching program to apply insurance to a loan record & follow all procedures to ensure accuracy of data being processed according to compliance expectations and laws.
  • Accurately and efficiently process a high daily volume of insurance documents and premium invoices inputting all information into Allied’s tracking system according to multiple rules and exceptions with a focus on detail.
  • Perform data capture duties accurately and efficiently in various systems such as process in optical character recognition (OCR) validations, OCR review, and/or IDP (Intelligent Document Processing)
  • This position requires knowledge of a multitude of processes & procedures to accurately process insurance documents.  Utilizing department procedure manuals is a key element to success in this role.

WORKFLOW SUPPORT

  • Understand and follow scheduled workflow to meet appropriate department goals for productivity.
  • Switch priorities/focus quickly and frequently, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, working independently in a fast-paced environment with little direct support from supervisor or management team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Alert leadership team to any abnormalities in queue numbers or documents received
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Research & Development

  • Gather information to answer questions, exchange related information and advice with co-workers and management.
  • Create and deliver training materials to be used for new & existing employees.
  • Mentor and train new or existing employees including leading group chats to answer questions and provide support regarding auto, commercial, and mortgage property and casualty insurance and collaterals.
  • Perform peer and process audits
  • Assist  supervisors, operations risk & control with processing and/or research of nuanced and complicated projects for specific lenders, queues, or departments.
  • Assist  leadership in presentation of new procedures
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of work-related experience required
  • Prior data entry or insurance experience is required.
  • Commercial insurance experience is strongly preferred.
  • The bulk of this position is completed electronically via computer programs; being comfortable navigating computer systems & programs is a requirement.
  • Demonstrated and established knowledge in collaterals related to Condominiums, Commercial, and Equipment. 
  • Demonstrated and established proficiency in CFPB and FEMA regulations and insurance coverages related to Hazard, Flood, Wind, Hurricane, General Liability, Workmen’s Comp, Builders Risk, Life, Condominium/Unit Owner and Earthquake.
