Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mobile Video Quality Specialist to join our Quality organization in Allen, Texas. This role is critical for supporting the continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of our mobile video products. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will act as a frontline quality analyst monitoring real-time performance, triaging video quality issues, and facilitating resolution across hardware, software, and network operations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership: Manage both software and hardware quality standards, drive product quality practices across the product development lifecycle, facilitate DFMEA and design reviews to prevent defect leakage
Problem Resolution: Lead root cause analysis of fielded product defects and drive corrective actions, assist in identifying, logging, and triaging mobile video performance anomalies. Facilitate cross-team communication between engineering, product, and vendor teams to drive timely root-cause analysis (using basic methodologies like 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams).
Technical Evaluation: Support technical evaluation on quality issues, hardware, software, identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives, other.
Reporting: Build and maintain basic quality dashboards and statistical reports to highlight trends, product quality levels, and recurring failure modes for leadership review.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, with Data Analytics experience, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of experience
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Google Sheets, basic SQL, or data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI) to analyze logs and extract insights.
Certifications: Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, structured problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset to bridge gaps between technical and business teams.
Strategic Focus
This role focuses on systemic oversight and cross-functional coordination rather than individual contributor execution. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and product quality outcomes, ensuring that mobile video experiences meet user and business expectations.
Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
