Description
We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Global Warehouse & Distribution Sourcing Manager to lead global sourcing, supplier management, and logistics procurement activities supporting backend semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Based in Malaysia, this role will play a key part in optimizing global warehousing, transportation, distribution, and supply chain solutions across semiconductor assembly, test, mark, pack, and wafer fabrication operations in Asia and Europe.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in global logistics sourcing, warehouse operations, contract negotiation, and supply chain cost optimization, preferably within a high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global logistics partners to drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
What You Will Do
Global Sourcing & Procurement
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for warehousing, transportation, distribution, 3PL/4PL logistics, freight forwarding, and customs brokerage services.
Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluation, benchmarking, and commercial negotiations.
Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), pricing structures, and supplier performance metrics.
Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring service quality and business continuity.
Warehouse & Distribution Optimization
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to optimize warehouse footprint, inventory flow, distribution networks, and regional fulfillment strategies.
Support warehouse automation and digitalization initiatives.
Ensure logistics capacity readiness to support business growth, demand fluctuations, and new product introductions.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Manage strategic relationships with global logistics providers and warehouse service partners.
Conduct supplier performance reviews based on key metrics including:
On-time delivery performance
Inventory accuracy
Transit lead time
Cost efficiency
Service reliability
Collaborate with global teams across Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Trade Compliance, and Engineering.
Semiconductor Supply Chain Support
Support semiconductor backend and wafer fab operations, including:
Assembly and test facilities
Front-end manufacturing sites
Subcontractor (subcon) management
Finished goods distribution
Customer fulfillment logistics
Ensure compliance with handling and transportation requirements for sensitive semiconductor materials and products.
Develop risk mitigation strategies through dual sourcing and contingency planning.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Analyze logistics spend, freight trends, warehouse utilization, and supply chain performance data.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Drive logistics digitalization initiatives and reporting dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in global logistics sourcing, warehouse management, distribution, or procurement roles.
Strong experience managing 3PL/4PL providers, freight forwarders, and logistics service partners.
Experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization.
Understanding of global supply chain operations and logistics networks.
Experience supporting high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or similar industries is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost, operational, and supplier performance data.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with global teams across different regions and cultures.
