Complete your Student Clinical Rotation with Ascension.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a preceptor and/or clinical faculty, observe and provide services within scope of practice to patients in an assigned area.
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by the hospital and academic institution during the clinical rotation period.
- Ensure timely submission of required documentation, including consent forms, immunization records, and any other necessary paperwork.
- Participate in the care of patients in a variety of patient care settings with sufficient frequency to achieve the competencies required by the student's program discipline.
- Participate in and/or observe procedures which are specified by each academic program.
- Participate in appropriate institutional committees affecting the student's education and/or patient care experience.
Requirements
Education:
- Enrollment in an accredited academic program leading to a degree or certification in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience:
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in a dynamic healthcare environment preferred.
- Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy preferred.
