Job Summary:
Sourcing - Commodity Specialist will be responsible for contract management and negotiation, ensuring significant cost reductions and efficient supplier relationships. These responsibilities are essential for ensuring that the company makes wise purchases to save money and boost profitability. The role requires a strong understanding of market trends, supplier capabilities, and the ability to negotiate effectively.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Supplier Identification, Development and Evaluation: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, analyzing their capabilities, financial stability, and reputation.
- Negotiation: Engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions as per Array Standards, including price negotiations, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.
- Market Analysis and Risk Management: Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks that may impact commodity availability or pricing. Develop strategies to manage market volatility, including alternative sourcing options, hedging and inventory strategies.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory control teams to manage commodity inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability. Analyze demand forecasts, lead times, and consumption patterns to determine optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery performance, and responsiveness.
- Collaboration with all legal entities sharing best practices and implementing sourcing strategy & daily close collaboration with CoE - Asia
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, mechanical/electrical specialization
- B2/C1 English
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience negotiating internationally
- Time management: Deadlines and stress resistance
