South West areas such as Devon,Cornwall, Somerset areas with a fair amount of travel involved

Celnor Group are looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team

Celnor Group is a UK-based environmental services group operating across the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) landscape. With a growing portfolio of specialist businesses, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a varied range of engineering projects, with a particular focus on the automotive, vehicle and aviation sectors. You will support clients with technical inspections, testing, maintenance, fault finding and engineering assessments, helping to ensure equipment and systems remain safe, reliable and compliant.

What will you do
  • Support electrical and mechanical inspections, testing and engineering assessments.
  • Assist with identifying faults and recommending practical solutions.
  • Work on a range of vehicles, machinery, components and aviation-related equipment.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Learn how to use specialist testing and inspection equipment.
  • Produce clear and accurate technical reports and documentation.
  • Ensure work is completed in line with relevant safety, quality and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers, clients and other technical specialists.
  • Attend customer sites across the UK when required.
  • Complete ongoing technical training and professional development.

Who you are
  • Degree-qualified or due to graduate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Interested in developing a career within the automotive, vehicle or aviation sectors.
  • A practical and methodical problem solver.
  • Comfortable learning how to inspect, test and fault-find electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Able to interpret technical drawings, manuals and engineering information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality.
  • Willing to travel and work at customer sites.
  • A full UK driving licence will be essential.
