Tax Analyst

Summary

We are seeking a motivated accounting professional to join our corporate tax team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across U.S. federal income tax compliance, tax accounting, and financial reporting while partnering with internal finance teams, external advisors, and auditors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build a career in corporate taxation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of U.S. federal income tax returns for a consolidated corporate group.
• Analyze book-to-tax differences and prepare supporting reconciliations.
• Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments and annual tax extensions.
• Support the preparation of income tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare tax account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of tax-related general ledger balances.
• Partner with external auditors by providing documentation and support for tax provision reviews.
• Assist with federal tax audits, notices, and information requests.
• Participate in special projects and other tax compliance initiatives as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors on tax-related matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred

• Experience with corporate tax preparation software.
• Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification.
• Familiarity with enterprise financial or ERP systems.
