Role Highlights
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a growing organisation in a hybrid role that combines end-to-end payroll responsibilities with exposure to finance and HR support. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting broader business operations.

Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for employees across Australia.
- Prepare EFT payments and complete payroll-related general ledger postings.
- Process monthly payroll for international assignees and associated payroll tax obligations.
- Respond to payroll enquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain payroll systems and employee payroll records.
- Calculate and remit superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, workers' compensation, child support and other statutory obligations.
- Complete month-end and end-of-financial-year payroll reconciliations and reporting.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations relating to payroll and employee liabilities.
- Support BAS, Fringe Benefits Tax and other finance compliance activities.
- Assist with remuneration, benefits and employee engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to payroll, finance and HR projects focused on process improvement.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and reporting.
Candidate Profile
You'll have a minimum of five years' experience managing end-to-end payroll within a medium to large organisation and possess a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including payroll tax, PAYG, workers' compensation and superannuation. You are highly organised, detail-oriented and enjoy solving problems while working to strict deadlines. Your ability to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders, maintain confidentiality and manage competing priorities will be key to your success. Experience with payroll systems such as Access Micropay or similar platforms will be highly regarded, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills and exposure to finance processes.
