Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support residents, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while reflecting a caring, agile, and reliable approach. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and note unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing foot traffic, assisting with visitor check-in practices, and/or helping to address unauthorized entry or loitering concerns in accordance with site policies.
• Support a respectful environment by interacting professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing directions and information, and/or helping with de-escalation during tense situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
