Inside the Role

Culture & Belonging Project Management Specialist III is responsible for working with the Culture & Belonging Manager to drive projects and ensure they align with department and organization strategy. To accomplish this, the successful candidate will be able to prioritize, coordinate, allocate time and resources, ensure quality, and demonstrate cultural competency. In addition to project and program management responsibilities, this position also assists with planning, executing and communicating (internally and externally) hosted events and presentations. This is a highly collaborative role, working with all areas of the company, including the corporate offices, manufacturing plants, PDC's/ Reman, and with Mexico and Germany.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience​

What You Drive at DTNA

Program Management – C&B Champions

  • Full autonomy and ownership of the C&B Champions program and curriculum.
  • Overseeing the year-long Champions program, including managing and guiding participants through the curriculum. Selecting each cohort of participants and their alumni mentors. 
  • Utilizing tools like Articulate and Workday to design, curate, and deliver engaging content tailored to the program’s goals.
  • Supporting Champions throughout the program to ensure successful participation and alignment with Culture and Belonging initiatives.
  • Auditing and follow-up of Champions’ progress, including when participants fall behind or are not meeting the program requirements and criteria.
  • Planning and organizing Champions Graduation, live learnings, fireside chats and support for Champion Alumni and Champion Mentors

Program Management – Employee Business Resource Groups and Clubs (EBRXs) 

  • Overseeing and supporting the Employee Business Resource Groups and Clubs, especially the National Chairs.  
  • Planning, organizing, and executing the monthly ERBX Leader meetings and Leader Development sessions.  
  • Support the EBRX’s in linking their strategies to overall DTNA strategy, ensure business excellence and inclusive involvement across the groups.  
  • Organize the annual EBRX Week and EBRX Summit events 
  • Meet regularly with the EBRX National Chairs 
  • Monitor the EBRX cost-center and budgets 

Plant/PDC Liaison

  • Serving as the main point of contact for plants, PDCs, and Reman locations to ensure alignment of Culture and Belonging efforts across all sites.
  • Building strong relationships and fostering collaboration between locations, which may include traveling to various sites.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and working with leadership to implement impactful solutions for the shop floor.

Project Management

  • Ideating, leading and managing key Culture & Belonging projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Coordinating across cross-functional teams to align project goals and track progress.
  • Demonstrating adaptability, organization, and attention to detail to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project owner of “Day of Awareness” training each year (ideation to execution) and supporting the C&B Manager on “Day of Understanding” training each year.

Communications & Event Support

  • Curating and distributing impactful communications via various channels, such as email, DAISI, videos, and other platforms.  This also includes preparing and sending out the monthly C&B newsletter.
  • Crafting messages that resonate with diverse audiences, driving engagement and awareness of Culture and Belonging initiatives.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging across all communication touchpoints. Running the bi-weekly communications meeting with Corporate Communications and OPT Communications.
  • Provide support/ planning for our annual events (Day of Awareness, Our People Awards, Day of Understanding) and major EBRX events (ERBX week, EBRX Summit).
  • Coordinate creation of surveys, town hall presentations & micro-trainings

Other Key Activities

  • Support organizational details for the Council. Participate on one of the Council small groups to help drive initiatives to completion.
  • Participate in quarterly strategy meetings- bringing new ideas for projects, providing feedback on projects.
  • Support facilitation of the annual C&B Council Strategy Workshop.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors degree required plus at least 5-7 years of experience required, or 8 years in lieu of a degree
  • Passion for culture, inclusion and belonging topics, demonstrated by previous EBRX or C&B Champions participation and support.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office tools [Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel] is required
  • Experience managing projects
  • Demonstrated success discussing, integrating and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion throughout a complex and dynamic organization required
  • Previously proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements required
  • Proactive with proven customer service skills, along with superior oral and written communications skills, required
  • Proven ability to work in cross functional/ matrix organization
  • Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Possess a high level of confidentiality and trust
  • An attached resume is required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • PMP certification, DE&I Certifications
  • Knowledge working with Excel, PowerBI, Power Automate and data tools a plus
  • Knowledge of supporting tools [i.e. Canva, Monday, Articulate, etc.] and survey tools (Microsoft Forms)

Detroit Administration Office, Fort Mill Office - DTNA, Portland, OR US. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
