The role

The Global Assistant HR Business Partner role is positioned within the Central HR team, operationally supporting the HR teams globally whilst (partially) business partnering the Central HR function. This role plays a key role in delivering operational HR support to the total HR function and ensuring HR delivery is fully aligned to business goals in that area of business, building successful partnerships and collaboration with our support teams, partnering with business leaders and HR Expertise & Innovation teams and Employee Experience Teams to shape the people, culture, learning and engagement strategies, working closely with the HR Strategy Director and HR Business Partners to ensure optimal hire-to-retire People Experience. 

What you'll be responsible for

The Global Assistant HR Business Partner ensures the execution of HR activities being aligned with global direction and strategy.  

HR Operations

  • Responsible for hire-to-retire operational support to Employees and Line Managers. 
  • Liaise with local Payroll and local Pension & Benefits teams to swiftly resolve employee salary queries.
  • Liaise with local Talent Partners to ensure adequate hiring of open positions throughout the total HR Function.
  • Manage complex sick leave cases, liaising with third parties to ensure durable return to work.
  • Manage complex legal cases, liaising with third parties.
  • Swiftly and diligently process transactions within the Employee System of Record (Workday) for the total HR Function.
  • Liaise with our Global Mobility partner for Global Mobility related subjects.
  • Provide solicited and unsolicited advice to Line Managers within the Central HR Team.
  • Create and communicate reporting for HR purposes.
  • Liaise with local and global IT teams to ensure optimal People Experience.
  • Perform activities to balance Employee Benefits whilst owning responsibility over a few local benefits.
  • Advice on standing HR policies and ways of working, identify potential changes and implement changes to drive organizational performance.
     

Talent and Career Management  

  • Provide input into the talent management strategy and maintain the talent pipeline for the total HR Function.   
  • Activate and execute the performance management cycle in line with the global timelines.  
  • Support line managers executing reward guidelines as required.  
  • Execution of talent and career management frameworks as required.  
  • Use Leadership and Talent Development Tools to drive organization performance.
  • Perform in Data Analystics activities to ensure a 100% Workday data accuracy. 
     

Organisation Effectiveness & Transformation 

  • Global budget- and position management for the total HR Function.
  • Support implementation of workforce models, structural changes and new ways of working.
  • Ensure alignment between global design and global execution.
  • Lead change management support for the rollout of new technologies in HR, ensuring adoption in the HR population through clear communication, readiness planning, training and local deployment support; this includes key enablers such as (Workday) system access from 1 September 2026.

We're looking for someone who

  • Educational background in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Psychology.
  • Experience in HR, ideally with some experience in business partnering.  
  • Passion for business with strong customer focus.  
  • Good knowledge of key HR processes, roles and responsibilities.   
  • Comfortable with HR systems (Workday, PowerBI, Concur, NS Go, COUPA etc) and managing, analysing HR data and building insights and a point of view from that data.  
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to respond to multiple changes and working to influence change remotely.  
  • Experience of working across teams in a global environment – both F2F and virtually.  
  • Ability and drive to work independently.  
  • Proven track record on adaptability, agility and passion for continuous improvement/learning.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills are a must for this role.
