Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Analyst in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener, you will play a key role in supporting a controlled corrections environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and individuals entering the correctional facility by communicating professionally and carrying out site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen individuals and authorized property using assigned screening equipment and established protocols; report prohibited items, alarms, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, screening concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, screening areas, and nearby perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
