About the Role

The Analyst, COPA Finance Data will support the organization by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of CO-PA financial data and reporting. This role partners with global Finance, Controlling, and IT teams to drive data quality, support month-end closing activities, maintain SAP allocation processes, and contribute to SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze financial data during month-end closing and perform data mining of COPA Finance data to improve the accuracy and reliability of program-level financial results.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, monitor master data accuracy, create reporting standards, and generate ad-hoc reports and analyses for business stakeholders.
  • Maintain SAP allocation rules in partnership with regional and functional Controlling teams and support budget planning activities, including allocations and data uploads.
  • Collaborate with Global Process Experts and HARMAN IT to identify process improvements and system enhancements based on data-driven insights.
  • Support testing and implementation activities related to SAP S/4HANA CO-PA transaction codes and provide training and knowledge transfer to the global Finance organization.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • CMA (Cost & Management Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in Excel, Business Warehouse (BW), BPC, OneStream, Qlik Sense, or comparable reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience with SAP R/3 FI/CO and/or SAP S/4HANA, along with exposure to project management methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and financial issues and develop effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, and flexibility to work across global time zones.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in a Controlling environment within the automotive supplier industry and strong knowledge of CO-PA allocation and profitability analysis processes.
  • Hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, testing activities, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, master data governance, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Controlling, and IT teams.
