Description:

Patient Care Technician

Position Purpose:

• In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Patient Care Technician performs direct patient care assistance as well as clerical and administrative duties in support of patient care providers, medical staff, patients, their significant others, blended and extended family members, and outside agencies.

What You Will Do:

• Education: High school graduate preferred
• Experience: Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred. Previous health care experience or demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Successful completion and maintenance of BLS healthcare provider training required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Vital signs, HT, Wt and I&O
•  Activities of daily living for example: bathing, toileting, ambulating, feeding, etc.
• Responds to patient needs, requests in a timely manner
• Skin Care (stage I & II)
• Documents patient data accurately and completely
