Lorien Columbia is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dietary Cook to join our team! Competitive Pay

• Starting at $17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• ServSafe Certification preferred
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and food preparation standards
• Experience with batch cooking preferred
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Proper knife skills and safe food handling techniques
• Strong integrity, dependability, and work ethic
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to assist wherever needed to ensure quality service and resident satisfaction

Qualifications

• Full Time and Part Time 
• Schedule: 5:30a-2p 
• Every-other weekend rotation required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation

 

Lorien Columbia has been in the heart of Howard County, MD since 1977 and is the first of 9 Lorien facilities. Our facility includes skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, as well as the only Korean nursing unit in Howard County with 205 beds total, 5 nursing units. Lorien Columbia is a five-star facility and recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the top nursing homes in Maryland. Recently voted Baltimore's Best Elder Care!
