Description
Your mission
- You will independently manage the financial and general ledger accounting for our Group- including general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable - in close coordination with the team
- You will prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and compile them independently—including consolidation entries for the entire corporate group
- You will process payroll for multiple countries, handle provisions, accruals, fixed asset accounting, and day-to-day payment transactions
- You will be responsible for the monthly advance sales tax return as well as the quarterly summary report
- You will serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and tax advisors—and oversee tax audits as well as the preparation of tax returns
- You will work closely with the Controlling team on monthly investor reporting and contribute to process and system optimizations
- You will maintain and further develop our Accounting Manual and serve as a technical point of contact for the Junior Accountant
Your profile
- You have completed a business apprenticeship with a focus on accounting—ideally as a tax clerk—and have received further training to become a financial accountant (m/f/d). In addition, you have several years of experience in accounting
- You have several years of practical experience in financial accounting—you have independently performed journal entries, prepared individual financial statements, and gained initial exposure to consolidated financial statements
- You have a solid understanding of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and are familiar with sales tax law - knowledge of IFRS is a welcome plus
- You are proficient in using DATEV and MS Office; experience with a CPM/FP&A tool such as Lucanet, Tagetik, or Anaplan is a plus
- You work independently and in a structured manner, have high standards for quality, and enjoy actively helping to shape a modern finance department
- You are fluent in German and English—both written and spoken
