Description

The Company

Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health.

We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.

Meet the team:

Join a diverse and dynamic team of operations and engineers dedicated to delivering high-quality medical device products to patients around the world. Our team focuses on packaging, labeling, and distribution operations, working hands-on with advanced, high-volume equipment to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.

We collaborate closely across Quality Engineering, Regulatory, R&D, Equipment Engineering, and Operations to design, optimize, and sustain robust processes. We drive improvements in throughput and quality while supporting new product and material introductions, ensuring reliable, scalable operations that directly impact business performance and patient outcomes.

Where you come in:

In this role, you will serve as a technical leader for automation and manufacturing equipment systems within packaging and labeling operations. You will be responsible for maximizing equipment performance, reliability, and lifecycle through maintenance excellence, controls optimization, continuous improvement, and project execution. Leveraging your expertise in PLCs, machine vision systems, automation, and data analytics, you will help ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations.

  • You will lead the technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated packaging, labeling, and distribution equipment.

  • You will own equipment reliability initiatives by identifying chronic failures, performing root cause investigations, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.

  • You will develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment uptime, asset utilization, and operational performance.

  • You will troubleshoot and support PLC, HMI, motion control, and industrial network systems to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.

  • You will maintain and optimize machine vision systems, including inspection performance, false reject reduction, and system robustness.

  • You will lead equipment upgrade, obsolescence management, and lifecycle improvement projects to ensure long-term operational sustainability.

  • You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve throughput, quality, and equipment effectiveness using data-driven decision making.

  • You will leverage equipment, maintenance, and production data to identify optimization opportunities, improve asset performance, and drive measurable gains in throughput, quality, and operational efficiency.

  • You will support equipment qualifications, software validations, and engineering change activities within a regulated medical device environment.

What makes you successful:

  • You have experience working with manufacturing processes, preferably in packaging, labeling, or high-volume production environments

  • You have strong data analysis skills with the ability to build, interpret, and present KPI dashboards to drive decision-making

  • You have proven ability to manage self-directed projects—prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment

  • You have hands-on mindset with demonstrated success working directly with equipment, processes, or manufacturing operations

  • You have experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, root cause analysis) to drive measurable improvements

  • You have the ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining commitments

  • You have strong cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, quality, regulatory, and operations teams

  • You have experience working in regulated environments (e.g., medical device, pharma, or similar quality systems)

  • You have technical expertise in PLC-based automation and machine vision systems, including, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle support of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell controls and Cognex or equivalent vision platforms in a manufacturing environment.

What you’ll get:

  • A front row seat to life changing CGM technology. Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community.

  • A full and comprehensive benefits program.

  • Growth opportunities on a global scale.

  • Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.

  • An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

Travel Required:

  • 5-15%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum  of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience
