Head of Accounting

With 600+ locations across Europe (Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and Belgium) and the US, we are scaling fast and rewriting the rules of mobility. Our asset-light, data-driven platform enables car dealerships and workshops to unlock new revenue streams, turning idle vehicles into profitable rental services.

To fuel our next leap, we are looking for a Head of Accounting to join our hub in Málaga. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own our core accounting function end-to-end, lead an established team, and be the person leadership trusts to deliver accurate numbers, on time, every time across a fast-growing, multi-country group that's set to expand into new markets.

## Tasks

**Your Impact**

This is a high-impact role combining hands-on operational excellence with real ownership:

• **Own the Financial Close:** Lead and own the full month-end and year-end close across our international entities - accurate, timely, and reliable, every cycle.
• **Lead the Accounting Team:** Manage, mentor, and develop our existing accounting team, setting standards and turning day-to-day execution into a smooth, dependable engine.
• **General Ledger & Reporting:** Own the GL, reconciliations, AP/AR, and the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
• **Multi-Entity Coordination:** Keep the books clean and consistent across our international entities and be ready to onboard new entities as we expand into new markets.
• **Compliance & Audit:** Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax requirements, and act as the key point of contact for audits.
• **Optimize & Automate:** Get the most out of Odoo, identify bottlenecks, streamline and automate accounting workflows within our existing ERP, and keep our processes lean and scalable. Odoo is our single source of truth, so this is about going deeper, not adding new tools.
• **Strategic Partnership:** Work hand-in-hand with the CFO and leadership, providing the accurate numbers and insight that drive confident decision-making.

## Requirements

**What You Bring**

• **Experience:** 3–5 years in a senior accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced scale-up or international setting. You don't need to have held a "Head of" title before - what matters is hands-on mastery and the readiness to take ownership.
• **Hands-On Ownership:** You roll up your sleeves and own the numbers end-to-end, equally comfortable in the detail and accountable for the outcome.
• **Knowledge:** Strong command of accounting principles and the full month-end and year-end close. You've worked across more than one country or legal entity and can pick up an unfamiliar local framework quickly - adaptability matters more than mastery of one country's rules.
• **Multi-Market Mindset:** You've set up or onboarded accounting for a new entity or market before, or you're clearly ready to. New jurisdictions energize you rather than intimidate you, and you get up to speed on local rules fast.
• **Qualifications:** A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Hands-on experience with IFRS and multi-entity consolidation is a strong plus; an ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is a bonus, not a requirement.
• **Language:** Fluency in English is a must.
• **Mindset:** You are "hands-on" by nature but "structured" by design. You love accuracy and detail but never lose sight of the big picture.
• **Tech:** You are a fan of automation and have experience with modern accounting software / ERP tools. We run Odoo as our central ERP, so hands-on Odoo experience is a real plus. You prefer digital-first workflows over paper trails.
