Director, Production Engineering & Productivity

Job Responsibilities:
Production Productivity
- Identify inefficiencies, optimize line balancing and layouts, and improve labor and machine utilization
- Reduce waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities
- Standardize and replicate best practices across factories
Technical Manufacturing Excellence
- Provide expertise in down, seam-sealed, waterproof, and technical apparel
- Improve manufacturing methods while maintaining product quality
Data-Driven Management
- Analyze KPIs such as efficiency, output, learning curves, and downtime
- Establish productivity benchmarks and drive performance improvements using data
Leadership & Coaching
- Guide production, IE, and technical teams across factories
- Act as an internal consultant to challenge and elevate performance
Requirements:
- 15+ years in apparel manufacturing, including 10+ years in IE/Production Engineering leadership
- Strong background in technical outerwear, down, and seam-sealed products
- Experience across multi-country factory operations and international brands
- Industrial Engineering, line balancing, lean manufacturing, SAM/GSD, capacity planning
- Strong analytical skills in workflow optimization and bottleneck analysis
- Proficient in ERP, MES, dashboards, Excel, and Power BI
- Highly data-driven with the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements
- Good command of Mandarin, English, and Cantonese
- Willing to travel frequently to China, Vietnam, and Indonesia factories.
