This job is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives and/or processes aligned to priorities within a functional area and/or business. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, executing, monitoring, and/or refining strategic initiatives and processes in close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal partners.

Bank of America’s wealth management business is one of largest in the world with client balances of $5 trillion. The Wealth Management Strategy team supports the leadership of our two wealth management units, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Bank of America’s Private Bank, with the articulation of their overall strategy and with the identification and execution of transformational strategic initiatives. The role is based in New York City and reports to the Managing Director, Wealth Management Strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and/or executes business initiatives and/or processes, while partnering with stakeholders and partners
- Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business
- Engages with key stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver on business objectives
- Performs analytics, assessments, and/or interpretation of data and/or information to identify business opportunities, derive insights, and measure outcomes
- Develops strategic and tactical plans to drive progress towards business goals and objectives
- Support strategic initiatives, lead individual modules of larger Wealth Management strategic initiatives
- Create frameworks, identify / analyze issues, develop/evaluate options, devise implementation plans
- Contribute to overall strategic plans for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and the Private Bank
- Interact directly with senior executives: lead discussions, present results, build consensus
- Identify issues / opportunities proactively based on your understanding of the business and competition
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-6 years professional experience in a corporate development or strategy group of a financial services firm, management consulting firm, investment bank or private equity firm
- Track record of excellence and achievement
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; high level of comfort with numbers and financial modeling
- Entrepreneurial initiative, coupled with commitment to highest quality standards and attention to detail
- Team player able to bring together people and perspectives for new solutions, build confidence and trust
- Strong presence, communication, and relationship building skills
- Ability to work with changing deadlines and competing priorities
