Global Security Control Center (GSCC) Specialist

The Global Security Communications Center (GSCC) is responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events; researching global activities, call mitigation, event dispatching, and 24/7 event-focused global notification services. During emergencies, the GSCC directs and coordinates support by providing aid for essential operational services, notification warnings of potential risks, distribution of employee information, and serving as the main communication intake point for Global Security

As a GSCC Specialist, you play a critical frontline role within the Global Security Control Center (GSCC), supporting global security operations and helping to safeguard TWDC personnel, assets, and business continuity worldwide.

In this role, you will apply strong attention to detail and situational awareness to monitor events, support incident response, and ensure timely and accurate communication across the enterprise.

This role operates in a 24/7 environment and requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilites:

Monitoring & Incident Support

  • Assess security, safety, and travel‑related incidents to execute appropriate response actions using established protocols.
  • Evaluate incident details to identify potential impacts and reccomend when escalation or additional coordination is required.
  • Interpret internal and open‑source information to assess risk relevance and support response prioritization
  • Provide frontline support for security- and travel-related incidents, escalating complex issues as appropriate

Reporting & Communications

  • Assist in the development and distribution of situation reports, alerts, and operational updates
  • Review communications for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with GSCC standards
  • Provide timely and accurate information to internal stakeholders to support coordinated response efforts

Operational Coordination

  • Prepare and deliver clear, accurate incident summaries and situation reports that explain risk, response actions, and potential business or employee impact.
  • Maintain situational awareness across multiple systems and information sources
  • Assist with execution of enterprise security and travel safety programs
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to support effective incident resolution and continuity of operations.

Learning & Development

  • Participate in training, exercises, and ongoing development opportunities
  • Build knowledge of GSCC systems, processes, and global risk landscape
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through feedback and learning

Here is what you will need to be successful in this role:

  • 1+ years of experience in a communications, intelligence, or operations center environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-tempo environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple incidents at once, and relay information clearly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established escalation pathways and respond appropriately with guidance from standard procedures.
  • Professional composure when responding to urgent or time-sensitive situations.
  • Flexibility to to support a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

It would be a plus if you also have these skills:

  • Experience supporting security, intelligence, or emergency management operations. 
  • Strong interest in and awareness of domestic and international current events. 
  • Experience contributing to training initiatives, onboarding, or the development of operational procedures and reference materials.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $72,000 to $96,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
