The Management Analyst-Water Utilities, under the supervision of the Financial Services Manager Water Utilities, performs a variety of technical and professional-level work involving the analysis of department budgets, expenses, revenues, rates and services. The Management Analyst will be responsible for developing, modifying and monitoring performance measurement tools.
Pay range: $24.61 - $30.80 per hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or other closely related field required
Moderate experience with a minimum of three years’ experience in a related field required
Valid State motor vehicle operator’s license and acceptable driving record required
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to support an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment
Thorough knowledge of financial, budgeting and accounting procedures; Considerable knowledge of data mining, analyze, organize and identify solutions; Considerable knowledge software systems for billing and customer management
Ability to guide, direct and motivate employees; Ability to organize, supervise and delegate the activities of field and office personnel in the performance of all billing and related activities; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Interacts and works with Water Utilities Advisory Board members, City employees, customers, vendors, contractors, developers, and other utilities workers, citizens and members of the general public.
