The Role
- We are seeking a recent Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Roads & Highway team in Sydney.
- As a Graduate at SMEC, you will be part of a high-impact talent group contributing to major rail and metro infrastructure projects alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of infrastructure projects from day one, contributing to design, analysis, and documentation under guidance from senior engineers
- Assist with engineering design development, including drawings, models, and technical documentation
- Support engineering calculations and analysis across areas such as roads, drainage, or structures
- Participate in site visits and inspections to understand how designs are implemented on live projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design inputs and support project delivery milestones
- Learn and apply industry standards, tools, and best practices through structured development and on-the-job experience
About You
- A motivated Civil Engineering graduate who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and contributing to real-world projects
- A degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Exposure to design tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D (12D or similar advantageous)
