DESCRIPTION:

As a Lead Material Handler at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable material flow and day-to-day warehouse support for our growing Operations.

You will be responsible for warehouse execution, inventory accuracy and material availability for production, working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, quality and external logistics partners. You will also have the opportunity to help build and improve warehouse processes from the ground up.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Practical experience in warehouse, inventory or logistics operations
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system; good understanding of the connection between physical material flow and system transactions
• Good end-to-end understanding of warehouse processes and their impact on manufacturing and supply chain
• Hands-on mindset with strong ownership and willingness to solve operational issues directly
• Ability to work systematically, prioritize and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
• Good communication and collaboration skills across functions and with external partners
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and translate practical experience into clear, repeatable processes
• English sufficient for day-to-day communication in an international environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, internal movements, packing and shipment handover
• Ensure timely material availability for production and react to shortages, priority changes and operational exceptions
• Perform warehouse and inventory transactions in SAP accurately and on time
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy investigation and corrective actions
• Support Quality Inspection and ensure materials are handled, stored, labelled and packed according to defined quality, EHS and traceability requirements
• Coordinate material flow between internal warehouse, manufacturing and external warehouse / logistics partners
• Manage replenishment from the external warehouse based on production demand and agreed delivery routines
• Monitor shortages, delivery deviations and inventory discrepancies and drive timely resolution with relevant teams
• Support testing and validation of SAP transactions, system changes and new warehouse processes before operational use
• Help build and continuously improve warehouse processes, work instructions, standards and daily operating routines
• Use operational data to identify recurring issues, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
• Contribute to scalable warehouse solutions
