What you bring

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.
• Minimum 5-7 years of recent clinical experience, with demonstrated expertise in at least one specialty area; critical care/specialty experience is an asset.
• Recognized as a clinical expert in your area of practice with strong knowledge, skill and judgment aligned with CNO Standards of Practice and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Previous experience as a clinical instructor, nurse educator, preceptor, charge nurse, working with clinical learners or orienting new staff.
• Proven ability to mentor using impartiality, objectivity, diplomacy and confidentiality; seen as a positive role model.
• Familiarity with CNO Entry to Practice Competencies and professional nursing standards.
• Demonstrated excellence in patient‑ and family‑centred care, with a commitment to enhancing the patient and family experience.
• Well‑developed skills in assessing learning needs, developing and evaluating learning plans, and supporting individualized progress.
• Outstanding communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to have supportive and difficult conversations while embodying values such as compassion, courage, integrity, inclusion and respect.
• Self‑directed, highly motivated, and self‑aware; contributes positively to a healthy team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, articulate clear expectations, and work collaboratively with patients, families, interprofessional teams, and leadership.
• Strong leadership, change management, conflict resolution, and professional judgment.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving, prioritization, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation systems and computer applications (e.g., MS Office, Meditech).
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and quality improvement.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Willingness to work flexibly with all shifts as operationally required, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule:

 

This is a centralized role supporting all hospital sites. Scheduling includes Monday – Sunday, 10‑hour shifts, with flexibility required based on operational needs. Travel to RCC and Uxbridge is required.

$41.18 - $59.03
