Responsibilities

LMI is seeking a mission‑driven, detail‑oriented Security Analyst to support our Lead Facility Security Officer (FSO) across a large, multi‑site, clearance‑intensive federal program. This mid‑level role is ideal for an early‑career security professional with strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience working in classified environments, who is ready to take ownership of daily security operations while supporting complex personnel, physical, and industrial security requirements.

This position plays a critical part in maintaining compliance, accelerating clearance workflows, and ensuring a smooth and coordinated security posture across all program locations.

The Security Analyst serves as an essential extension of the Lead FSO, supporting the day‑to‑day administration of personnel security, access management, clearance verification, and facility compliance. This individual ensures candidates and employees move efficiently through LMI’s internal screening process before being submitted to customer review, and helps maintain security readiness across multiple sites with varied classification and SAP requirements.

The Security Analyst collaborates closely with recruiters, hiring managers, onboarding teams, subcontractor partners, and government security representatives to reinforce consistency, accuracy, and proactive issue identification across the program.

Key Responsibilities

Personnel Security & Clearance Management

  • Validate candidate clearance levels and eligibility as part of LMI’s internal pre‑screening workflow before any candidate is submitted to the customer.
  • Conduct initial clearance checks, reinvestigation status reviews, crossover feasibility assessments, and SAP eligibility evaluations.
  • Manage and track security documentation including e‑QIP initiation, SF‑86 updates, visit requests, and access rosters.
  • Support continuous monitoring of personnel security status, including periodic reinvestigations and onboarding compliance.
  • Prepare candidate security packages in alignment with program requirements and customer standards.

Program Screening & Candidate Workflow Support

  • Work closely with recruiters to review incoming candidate profiles for clearance accuracy and suitability.
  • Use LMI’s automated tracking tools to log, validate, and process new candidate submissions as part of the internal security review workflow.
  • Ensure candidate screening steps are completed rapidly and thoroughly, preventing delays in customer submission and nomination.
  • Flag discrepancies, risks, or incomplete information early and coordinate resolution with recruiters and hiring managers.

Support to Lead FSO & Multi‑Site Operations

  • Assist the Lead FSO with day‑to‑day administration of personnel security and classified facility operations.
  • Coordinate onboarding‑related access requirements, badging requests, clearance verification, and site‑specific access protocols with internal and government POCs.
  • Help maintain compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, DoD/IC security requirements, and program‑specific customer guidance.
  • Support security reviews, audits, self‑inspections, and documentation updates across multiple program locations.
  • Provide ongoing support during facility visits, classified meetings, and high‑volume hiring periods.

Issue Identification & Operational Escalation

  • Monitor clearance processing timelines, candidate status changes, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Identify emerging staffing or clearance challenges early and escalate them to the Lead FSO and Recruiting Manager.
  • Communicate security‑related risks, delays, market constraints, or clearance hurdles that may impact hiring timelines.
  • Support the Recruiting Manager in providing market‑driven insights to leadership, helping refine expectations, role requirements, and staffing approaches.
  • Contribute to cross-functional standups and alignment sessions to ensure real‑time visibility of security operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2–5 years of experience in personnel security, industrial security, or classified program support.
  • Familiarity with TS/SCI clearance processes, adjudication workflows, reinvestigation requirements, and SAP eligibility fundamentals.
  • Experience with JPAS/DISS, e‑QIP, visit authorization requests, access rosters, and clearance documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to work in fast‑moving environments with high-volume candidate flow and rapidly evolving security requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with recruiters, hiring managers, subcontractor teammates, and government stakeholders.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required; SAP eligibility strongly preferred.

TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
