Quality Lead/ Manager

The Quality Lead (IQC / SQC) is responsible for driving incoming quality control (IQC) and supplier quality control (SQC) initiatives across the supply chain. This role oversees incoming material intake, manages supplier qualification and performance, leads technical audits, and enforces root-cause corrective action plans.

Working closely with an in-house R&D and Product Development team that designs proprietary components, the Quality Lead ensures that domestic and international suppliers strictly manufacture to the company's engineering standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality Management & Auditing:
  • Chair technical alignment meetings with suppliers to resolve issues regarding raw materials, parts, and electrical/mechanical components.
  • Lead end-to-end new supplier qualification processes by evaluating manufacturing capabilities, processes, and facility standards.
  • Conduct annual supplier audits, publish audit checklists, and follow up on post-audit continuous improvement action plans.
  • Conduct on-site visits to perform root cause analysis (RCA), verify Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports, and ensure timely closure of non-conformance issues.
• Engineering & Process Alignment:
  • Collaborate with internal R&D and Product Development teams to define process parameters and quality acceptance criteria, ensuring supplier process capability meet custom component design requirements.
  • Oversee quality launch readiness for new products, including control plan setup, First Article Inspection (FAI), and mass-production sign-off.
  • Maintain and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Supplier CAPA logsheets to ensure all committed improvement actions are implemented.
  • Maintain supplier claims and compensation tracking logs for non-conforming materials.
• Supplier Development & Capability Building:
  • Provide expertise in supplier development initiatives to ensure best-in-class manufacturing practices and industry standards across the vendor base.
  • Train and guide suppliers on company quality standards, inspection protocols, and compliance requirements.

Position Details

• Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Quality Manager (Expat)
• Team Leadership: Manages a team of 2–3 Executives
• Location: Factory-based in Vietnam
• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Travel Requirements: Regular travel is not required; however, candidates must be ready for ad-hoc on-site travel to supplier facilities when quality issues arise (primarily Dong Nai and Binh Duong, with occasional visits to Da Nang or Hanoi, or international locations if needed).
• Supply Chain Scope: ~90% local suppliers (Vietnam: Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Da Nang, Hanoi) and ~10% international suppliers.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality management roles, with a strong preference for the Automotive,  Mobility industries.
• Core Methodologies: Strong practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems, principles, and problem-solving tools, including FMEA, SPC, CAPA, PDCA, 8D Analysis, 7 QC Tools, TQM, and Kaizen.
• Technical Breadth: Demonstrated experience working directly with incoming quality control (IQC) for proprietary, custom-engineered components and complex supply chains.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both Vietnamese and English (written and verbal communication) is mandatory to liaise with foreign management, internal teams, and international suppliers.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven capability to lead small engineering/QC teams, manage vendor relationships assertively, and drive rapid root-cause resolution.
