What You'll Do

As a Sign Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing electrical signs and exterior lighting at customer locations and construction sites. Your work will include:

• Repairing, inspecting, troubleshooting, retrofitting, and cleaning electrical signs
• Troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and retrofitting exterior lighting systems
• Testing signs, lighting, wiring, power supplies, and related components to identify problems
• Using hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and other equipment to perform service work
• Completing service documentation accurately and on time
• Communicating with customers regarding the status of work and issues identified at the job site
• Performing daily inspections of your assigned company vehicle and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintaining and tracking tools, materials, and equipment on your service vehicle
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience using hand tools
• Ability to manage a schedule, prioritize service calls, and complete work in a timely manner
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• OSHA 10 certification
• Ability and willingness to complete OSHA 30 certification
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL
• Ability and willingness to work at heights of 30–75 feet
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position

Preferred:

• 2 years of experience in electrical, sign, lighting, or related repair and maintenance work
• 1 or more years of experience in the sign industry
• Experience operating bucket or ladder trucks
• Scissor lift and boom lift certification or experience operating this equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

This position involves frequent standing, sitting, walking, lifting, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching above the shoulders, and working on uneven surfaces at job sites. The position also requires working at various heights and in changing weather conditions, using depth perception, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
