# Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the site technical authority for electrical infrastructure up to 230kV, setting strategy, design criteria, engineering standards, protection philosophies, and technical direction.

· Lead long-term planning for electrical capacity, reliability, resilience, asset lifecycle, power quality, energy performance, and technology deployment to support manufacturing growth.

· Provide authoritative technical recommendations and assurance for major capital projects, brownfield expansions, utility interfaces, substations, emergency generation, DUPS, protection systems, and power quality solutions.

· Own site-wide electrical reliability and risk management, including FMEA, system modelling, protection coordination, contingency planning, lifecycle management, and elimination of single points of failure.

· Lead resolution of unprecedented or high-impact technical issues and major incidents, driving root cause analysis, recovery, sustainable corrective actions, and organizational learning.

· Provide technical assurance for critical designs, commissioning, switching, energization, temporary configurations, operational readiness, and safe integration of new systems.

· Influence critical engineering and investment decisions to strengthen electrical safety, statutory compliance, manufacturing continuity, capacity readiness, sustainability, infrastructure resilience, and long-term operational performance.

· Champion SMART power systems, advanced monitoring, predictive maintenance, digital twins, automation, data analytics, and responsible AI-enabled engineering solutions.

· Build organizational capability by mentoring senior technical talent, governing technical reviews and certification, strengthening succession, and sharing standards, reference designs, and lessons learned.

· Lead technical engagement with utilities, regulatory authorities, Professional Engineers, consultants, Original Equipment Manufacturers, and specialist suppliers on complex electrical infrastructure, compliance, and reliability matters.

· Provide technical assurance for high-risk electrical designs, switching strategies, energization plans, protection changes, temporary configurations, and major system modifications.

# Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

· Registered Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.

· At least 15 years of progressive experience in high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical system design, commissioning, operations, maintenance, protection, reliability, and capacity planning within semiconductor or similarly complex manufacturing environments.

· Recognized technical authority with demonstrated success in shaping site electrical strategy, engineering standards, system architecture, reliability programs, and major infrastructure initiatives.

· Deep expertise in utility interfaces, substations, transformers, switchgear, protection and control, emergency generation, DUPS/UPS, grounding, power quality, electrical safety, and critical power distribution.

· Advanced knowledge of power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, harmonics, transient analysis, and system modelling.

· Proven ability to lead complex investigations, risk reduction, major technical reviews, high-voltage infrastructure projects, brownfield expansions, and decisions with significant safety, operational, and business impact.

· Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, facilities integration, statutory compliance, operational risk, and business continuity.

· Demonstrated ability to exercise technical judgment under ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, mentor technical talent, and lead across functions without direct authority.

· Experience applying data analytics, condition monitoring, automation, predictive maintenance, digital twins, SMART power systems, or responsible AI-enabled engineering solutions is highly advantageous.

· Contributions through engineering standards, professional bodies, technical publications, patents, conference presentations, or industry recognition are advantageous.
