What is the opportunity?

This position provides analysis, processing, and customer service support for exception-based and highly specialized operations processes. The incumbent reviews, verifies, and records data into technology systems supporting department processes while researching, resolving, or securing requested information for other operations areas, RBC Business Units, external customers, and industry participants. The role includes thought leadership and implementation support for department process changes, system enhancements, and new initiatives. The incumbent is expected to address escalated questions independently, seeking assistance from their manager as appropriate and following established department procedures. The position contains increased elements of risk, which are managed through operational reviews, system checks, and adherence to procedures.

What will you do?

  • Perform daily reconciliation for AdvisoryLink (Envestnet) to ensure accurate cash and position quantities for trading and billing
  • Perform daily quality checking for performance reporting application (Addepar) to ensure accurate rate of returns, market values and cash flows
  • Perform other reconciliation and operational tasks as required
  • Ability to update procedures and improve processes with evolving technology

Must have:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, mathematical, exception-based processing skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Ability to understand and meet business daily support needs on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately on exception based complex and/or highly specialized processes with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to work well and maintain composure under pressure
  • Demonstrated self-directedness in researching, analyzing, and solving problems
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows-based software products including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven ability to effectively deal with difficult people, situations and/or conflict
  • Strong customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail and confidentiality

Nice to have:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field
  • 3+ year business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience.
