ABOUT THE ROLE
Join SC Johnson Professional as an Inside Sales Associate and play a key role in driving growth across our West Coast customer base. Based in our Charlotte, NC office, you’ll join a highly collaborative sales team where you’ll build strong relationships with distributors and end users while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities.

You’ll manage and grow an established portfolio of distributor accounts while generating new end-user opportunities, partnering closely with our field and national sales teams to expand our reach and accelerate growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Generation
This role will support our sales organization including the Field, National Accounts and National Distribution teams. This includes identifying, qualifying, and scheduling appointments with new end user leads. These end user leads will be sourced from, but not limited to Field & National team campaigns, Marketing campaigns, inbound inquiries, Internal Sales cold calling, tradeshows, exhibitions, and our online bid platform.
Distribution Management
This role will be responsible for an identified group of Distributors. They will manage and develop trading relationships and achieve business sales growth within identified distributors. They will achieve an in-depth knowledge and understanding of each distributor and their respective market sectors.
End User Management
This role will pursue new end users as opportunities to educate and identify areas to sell SCJP’s range of products. Identify market trends for opportunities within specified industries, seasonal trends, and multi-location sites to pursue end users not currently buying SCJP branded products. Within our existing end user customer base, this role will develop relationships with those customers and initiate ongoing customer engagement activities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ year experience prospecting, cold calling via phone and B2B sales experience
- 1+ year Salesforce or similar CRM experience
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Adhere to the highest standards of SC Johnson Professional’s Sales Management Best Practices so all are operating at their highest performance level against selling targeted end users.
- Partner with Marketing to create winning sales and marketing programs and in in developing sales and marketing initiatives.
- Organize and where appropriate attend trade shows and exhibitions.
- Call existing end user customers to support sales revenue increase by increasing the range of products purchased.
- Sales Forecasting, including monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
- Attend meetings where necessary to report on sales performance including competitor data where appropriate.
- Administer all management report requests and/or any additional information as specified by the Sales Operations Manager or Sales Leadership.
- Build and maintain effective relationships and communications with Marketing, Customer Service, Technical Services, and Sales Administration, thus ensuring that all available information is fully understood and effectively communicated to customers and sales management.
- Participate in SC Johnson Professional’s initiatives.
- Formal sales training is an advantage
- Experience of Distribution is an advantage
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Full-time position, regular business hours, Monday-Friday
- This role is located at the SC Johnson Professional Corporate Office in Charlotte, NC
- Remote work available once a week after 90-day onboarding period
- Domestic relocation is not available for this role
- Travel up to 10%
