Job Description
The Boys Indoor Lead, National Team Development Program (NTDP) is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director, NTDP. The position will assume a critical role in coordinating our efforts to identify, recruit, and accelerate the development of high potential youth volleyball players for the ultimate purpose of strengthening future Senior National Teams and improving international competitiveness across Olympic and Paralympic Disciplines of the game.

As our Senior National Teams prepare to compete for gold in Los Angeles, the National Team Development Program (NTDP) has been set in motion to support the development of future generations of American volleyball players that will successfully compete against the best teams in the world. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a growth mindset and the aptitude to manage multiple tasks.
Frequent domestic travel in support of NTDP events will be expected for this position. International travel in support of age group national team competitions may vary on a year-to-year basis.

Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is located in Colorado Springs.
Requirements
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Model and uphold a culture of respect, psychological safety, and athlete-centered care in all interactions with athletes, coaching staff, and medical team members, recognizing that the foundation of elite performance is built on trust.
- Lead Boys Indoor Training Series logistics to include program locations, contracts for hosts, registrations, transportation, and on-site operations.
- Serve as Team Leader for Age Group National Teams for domestic training and international competitions, including management of logistics, travel, and athlete oversight.
- Critically evaluate current processes for areas of improvement to maximize benefit to our athletes and the sport of volleyball.
- Lead the identification process, outreach, and recruitment of eligible high-performance athletes for age-group national team and Training Series selection, ensuring invitations align with established eligibility criteria, performance standards and program capacity.
- Support the coordination of athlete ranking and selection per Scout Network recommendations.
- Support the implementation of athlete feedback and evaluation initiatives including process development and creation of feedback reports.
- Support the capture of training and competition video and manage video access and storage for athletes and coaches to accelerate athlete development and learning.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for NTDP Accelerators for Boys Indoor to ensure differentiated and developmentally appropriate training experiences for selected athletes.
- Communicate effectively with NTDP athletes, families, coaches, staff, and USAV stakeholders.
- Conduct warehouse activities related to NTDP program VIK as needed including supporting the packing, shipping, set up and tear down of gear and equipment.
- Respond or appropriately direct help desk tickets for NTDP stakeholders.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of holistic youth development is required. This includes but is not limited to technical, tactical, physical, and mental/psychological development of youth sport athletes.
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience is required.
- Minimum of 4 years in sports administration is preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Willing to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work within a team. Volleyball coaching and/or playing experience is not required but will be positively considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in a sport development, related field or equivalent work experience.

- Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
- Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.
Salary: $57,784–$60,000
