The Boeing CompanyBoeing Space Mission Systems (SMS) Experimental Systems Group (ESG) is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as a Systems Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our team in one of the following locations:
Seal Beach, CA
El Segundo, CA

Position Responsibilities:
Oversee and invest in a top talent multi-disciplined systems engineering team
Support modernization and automation of heritage mission integration and test processes and products
Drive alignment to the roadmap vision, while automating to reduce operational costs and increasing quality
Contribute to technical and cost baselines of proposals and bids for future architecture activities
Support architecture and technical trades for program decisions and future business
Manage resources, schedules, and staffing to execute concurrent programs
Cultivate a culture of respect, transparency, excellence, inspiration, and fun

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
2+ years of experience on space programs
2+ years of experience with system software integration and test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience leading teams
Experience with satellite operations
Experience with agile development
Experience leading fast paced development efforts with government customers.
Experience integrating multiple complex systems into customer-constrained architectures
Solid understanding of staffing, cost, schedule, and RIO management
Experience with DevSecOps, industry standards, processes and tools, CI/CD pipelines
Ability to manage teams on multiple significant program efforts simultaneously
