Job Description:
The railway signaling expert will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced railway signaling systems within Hitachi. This role ensures the safety, efficiency, and reliability of rail design through expert application of signaling principles and technologies.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Design and develop innovative railway signaling solutions, including interlocking systems, automatic train control (ATC).
* Conduct detailed analysis of existing signaling infrastructure and identify areas for improvement and modernization.
* Prepare technical specifications, design documents for new and upgraded signaling systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers, to integrate signaling solutions with broader railway systems.
* Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for signaling system issues during development, deployment, and operational phases.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in railway signaling.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices within Hitachi Rail
* Participate in client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions to represent Hitachi's signaling expertise.
* Participate in site surveys and investigations to gather data and assess existing infrastructure.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Railway Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of railway signaling principles, standards (e.g., CENELEC, Romanian national rules), and safety regulations.
* Proven experience with various signaling technologies such as interlocking systems, ATC and ETCS.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Project management exposure in railway infrastructure projects.
