Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Global Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining ledger accuracy, overseeing Accounts Payable transactional workflows, and driving month-end closing activities. You will work closely with a collaborative, cross-functional team in a remote, multi-time-zone environment to support transparent and reliable financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Manage general accounting operations by preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and resolving Accounts Payable and inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
Collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams and operational partners across multiple time zones to deliver month-end closing tasks within scheduled global reporting deadlines.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, finance policies, and Sarbanes-Oxley standards while supporting internal and external audit requirements.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
3+ years of professional accounting experience supporting general ledger operations and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, Accounts Payable management, inventory control, and foundational frameworks such as US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Proven ability in problem-solving, advanced Microsoft Excel data analysis, and effective cross-functional communication across global teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
