Technical Designer - Missy Apparel

Now Hiring a Technical Designer with Missy Apparel experience. Our client is growing their women’s private label business. This hands-on role covers multiple women’s apparel categories, including knits, wovens, dresses, tops, bottoms, sweaters, jackets, and sportswear.

This role will be responsible for turning design concepts and reference garments into accurate, production-ready product. This Missy Apparel Technical Designer position offers broad category exposure and hands-on ownership throughout the product development process. It’s an excellent opportunity to use your technical design, fit, Adobe Illustrator, and factory-development expertise across a growing women’s apparel business.

IN- OFFICE 

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Create complete, factory-ready tech packs from garments and design direction.
• Develop garment specs, measurements, BOMs, construction details, and technical flats.
• Conduct fittings and evaluate Missy fit, proportion, construction, and garment quality.
• Create technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator.
• Review development samples and communicate fit and construction corrections to factories.
• Manage tech pack updates, samples, approvals, and production timelines.
• Partner with design and overseas factories from development through final production.

REQUIRMENTS 

• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in women’s Missy apparel.
• Strong knowledge of Missy fit, garment construction, specifications, grading, and multi-category apparel.
• Proven ability to independently create detailed tech packs, technical sketches, and garment specs from physical samples.
• Great attitude and team player.
