Manager Technology Savings & Bancassurance

The Manager Technology Savings & Bancassurance is accountable for the end-to-end technology management of the Pension domain (box 1), ensuring that products, processes, and systems deliver commercial value, operational reliability, and excellent customer outcomes in line with NN Bank’s strategy. The role combines ownership, technology leadership, and operational accountability.  As the key liaison for the Domain lead Savings & Bancassurance the Manager Technology Savings & Bancassurance ensures the domain operates as a cohesive value chain and that technology capabilities effectively support business objectives. Additionally, you are part of the technology leadership team of Bank where you are co-responsible for driving the bank's technology transformation.

What you are going to do

The responsibilities of the Technology Manager Savings & Bancassurance are:

Technology transformation
As part of the technology leadership team within NN Bank:

• (co-)responsible for shaping and executing the Technology Transformation within Daily banking in the coming years.
• (co-)responsible for translating, propagating and embedding NN-Group-wide technology initiatives (e.g. Future Ready, IT simplification) to the Daily banking organization
• Responsible for the translation and embedding of the technical transformation towards the business product domain

Leadership & Technology Workforce Development

• Providing hierarchical leadership to +-20 technology employees within the domain (internal and external)
• Develop teams and technology employees, with a focus on expertise, aligned autonomy
• Create a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Responsible for the technology workforce development by translating it for your own workforce
• Continuous development of expertise level of technology employees in accordance with the NN guidelines
• Ensuring the delivery of new functionalities under technical quality standards
• Inspiring the bank tech community in technological transition and associated standards

End-to-End Technology Savings & Bancassurance Domain Management

• Managing the entire Savings & Bancassurance product value chain from a technology perspective, including internal teams and IT vendors
• Ensuring continuous availability, performance and stability of the 24/7 Savings & Bancassurance product chain
• Balance (IT) Operations, change and innovation activities within the domain

Translating Strategy into Roadmap & Change portfolio

• By translating the Savings & Bancassurance product roadmap into a (technology) delivery roadmap
• Ensure effective execution of the domain project and change portfolio from a technology perspective
• Ensure alignment between business strategy and IT delivery

IT vendor and stakeholder management

• Managing and controlling IT vendors (from technical perspective)
• Ensure compliance and performance of IT vendors' SLA services
• Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders

IT control, Risk management

• Ensure that the technology of the Savings & Bancassurance domain functions within the risk appetite of technology, and within regulations such as DORA
• Establish IT frameworks for the quality of products, processes, services and solutions that are in line with the standards of the Bank and NN Group
• Ensure correct data registration and identify opportunities for analysis and automation within the product domain in line with Bank and Group standards

Who you are

• You are an experienced manager with at least five years of experience in the Dutch financial or banking sector, preferably in a regulated environment
• You bring strong end-to-end IT operations experience and understand what it takes to manage reliable, high-performing 24/7 product chains
• You are a strong strategic counterpart for the Savings & Bancassurance business, able to challenge and translate product ambitions into pragmatic technology choices, clear delivery priorities, and an executable change roadmap
• You have hands-on experience with IT vendor management, SaaS services, SLA performance, and stakeholder alignment across business, technology, risk, and external partners
• You combine a solid understanding of IT risk, control frameworks, and regulations such as DORA with the ability to inspire teams and embed technology standards across the organisation

Who you will work with

The Technology Manager Savings & Bancassurance works within the Technology & Operations department, Technology Daily Banking and falls hierarchically under the Technology Manager Daily Banking, whom reports to the CTO NN Bank.  The Technology Manager Savings & Bancassurance is part of both the MT Technology Daily banking and the business MT of the Savings & Bancassurance product within the Daily banking department.
