Description
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, investigating complex cases and translating regulations into practical business advice. You will be at the heart of payment screening, due diligence and compliance monitoring, supporting compliance reviews and risk assessments, working closely with various business stakeholders.

Your responsibilities
Monitor payments and payment transactions to identify unusual, suspicious, or potentially non-compliant activities.
Review and assess transactions against internal policies, regulatory obligations, and sanctions requirements.
Conduct customer, supplier, and business partner due diligence screenings using relevant compliance and screening tools.
Perform compliance monitoring activities to assess adherence to internal policies, procedures and controls.
Perform sanctions screening and evaluate potential matches against international sanctions lists.
Support compliance due diligence and screening activities, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) processes.
Investigate compliance alerts and monitoring observations, and escalate issues where necessary.
Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal compliance policies.
Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation of screenings, reviews, controls and compliance activities.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization.
Provide compliance guidance and awareness training to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and other departments to strengthen compliance controls, monitoring activities and processes.
Assist in internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory examination
Your profile
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Legal Practice, Finance, Economics, Business Management or a related field.
Ideally, you have gained initial experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance, or a similar environment.
You are able to analyze financial data and transactions, connect information from different sources and identify potential risks or inconsistencies.
You work accurately, in a structured manner and have a keen eye for detail.
You are comfortable performing independent research, reviewing documentation and building well-supported assessments
You are not afraid to challenge information and possess strong analytical skills.
You know how to distinguish between routine cases and situations that require escalation or additional review.
You communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders and can translate complex information into clear and pragmatic advice.
You have a good command of Dutch and English.
