Accounting Manager

Milender White, a Graham Building Company, is seeking a seasoned and driven Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in Arvada, CO. This is more than just a back-office role—you’ll be a key player in ensuring the financial integrity of our dynamic, multi-entity construction group. From overseeing complex subcontractor payments to ensuring lien law compliance, you’ll lead a small and but high-performing accounting team that supports major projects across Colorado and California. Key Responsibilities:

• Review all G/L transactions, from A/R invoicing, A/P vouchering, and G/L journal entries
• Full GL cycle closing of books including account reconciliation preparation for review
• Accounts receivable management including problem resolution and collection management
• Developing proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures
• Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Enhancing project teams’ financial acumen
• Accounts payable processing and payment
• Working with the parent’s shared services in payroll and HR
• Development of operational procedures and documentation of data flow
• Review state and local tax filings, research and resolve discrepancies and tax notices
• Assist Controller with annual external year-end audit, and tax compliance
• Provide oversight and supervision for accounting personnel
• Provide coaching and training to accounting personnel
• Other projects as assigned such as software implementation and financial analysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting/finance required
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience required. Must have worked with the Work-in-Progress (WIP) and have a thorough understanding of inner workings of balance sheet.
• Supervisory experience of a small group preferred
• Experience in construction or construction-related industry is required
• Extensive use of job cost accounting systems, preferably Sage 300 CRE, Procore & Textura
• High proficiency in MS Excel and accounting packages is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to build business relationships within and across functions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of accounting principles including GAAP
• Understanding of financial controls and systems

In accordance with state law, Milender White is committed to providing a reasonable and good faith salary range for this position. The base salary range for the Accounting Manager role is $109,040 to $156,745 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and market conditions. This role may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus and company benefits.
