Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Intern to join our kitchen team. The intern will gain practical experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, hygiene standards, and teamwork while supporting chefs and other kitchen staff in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation and cooking tasks.
• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients.
• Assist with food portioning, plating, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Store food and ingredients correctly and help monitor stock levels.
• Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies when required.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Learn and follow recipes, preparation methods, and kitchen procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently studying a course in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in cooking and the food industry.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced kitchen staff.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good personal hygiene and a positive attitude.
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential.
