ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. We’re looking for talented individuals who can serve as subject matter experts in their area of focus and represent their departments on complex assignments. You’ll be responsible for evaluating elements of technology’s effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation, and offer recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness. You’ll listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high-quality solutions that align with their expectations. You will serve as a lead systems engineer centered on deep Jira and Atlassian ecosystem administration, supported by secondary expertise in Google Workspace and core SaaS tooling. In this role, you will lead the standardization of enterprise workflow management, automate process architecture, establish Atlassian governance, and support cross-platform ecosystem services to ensure platform stability, operational redundancy, and cost optimization.

Pay Range: $110,300 - $138,000
Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include bonuses.

Responsibilities
- Participates in tactical initiatives such as designing, developing and operational support with the opportunity to be part of strategic visioning, introducing new technologies, design, improved metrics, and process improvements
- Contributes to the full application lifecycle (design, develop, test, deploy and maintain), innovating in each step
- Serves as a technical lead in architecting, standardizing, and implementing advanced Jira workflows, custom issue types, permission schemes, screen schemes, and project configurations across the organization
- Establishes Atlassian system governance, data hygiene standards, and project templates to optimize work management, scalability, and overall platform performance
- Builds, maintains, and optimizes Jira automation rules, custom scripts, third-party Marketplace apps, and complex JQL filters
- Formalizes and matures Jira-related processes to optimize work management, cross-team transparency, and productivity for internal stakeholders
- Manages user access, security schemes, automated user provisioning (SCIM), and SAML SSO connections across the Atlassian platform and integrated business systems
- Provides secondary administration and operational support for enterprise-level Google Workspace tooling, email routing, and security policies
- Acts as a versatile generalist and Subject Matter Expert (SME) across internal system platforms owned by the team (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Slack, Zendesk, Google Workspace)
- Provides operational backup and backfill support for team-owned platforms to eliminate single points of failure
- Participate sin a shared, occasional after-hours on-call rotation for global Entegral systems support
- Configures and maintain complex system integrations, REST API webhooks, and third-party extensions connected to Jira and the broader software delivery stack
- Conducts regular license usage audits across team-owned tools to optimize application costs and eliminate unnecessary expenditures
- Gathesr requirement feedback from stakeholders to continually improve system performance, security standards, and application roadmaps
- Workss on routine to complex projects
- Regularly receives/creates general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new improvements, upgrades, or regular maintenance
- Assists in the development of standards, processes, and procedures for the team
- Performs regular system upgrades and maintenance to keep us current and in compliance with our security guidelines
- Evaluates elements of the technology's effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and makes recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness; takes appropriate steps towards resolution
- Creates and updates system application road maps and long-term platform strategy
- Listens to and evaluates customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to travel and attend in-person meetings, training, and business events at company offices and other U.S. locations, including Madison, WI and St. Louis, MO, up to 2–4 times per year as required
- For remote or full remote work-from-home positions, reliable high-speed internet, a dedicated professional workspace, and a functioning webcam are required. This position operates in a camera-on, video-first environment, and regular video participation is a condition of employment.
- Must be located in one of the following locations: AZ, FL, IL, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA or WI
- Bachelor's Degree in related field with 3+ years of professional experience in enterprise systems engineering, software administration, or application support
- OR a graduation certificate from a coding/technology bootcamp plus 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise systems engineering, software administration, or application support
- 3+ years of hands-on Jira Administration experience to include:
- Advanced workflow design
- Custom scheme management
- Automation
- Screen/field management
- Security structures
- 2+ years of Google Workspace ("G-Suite") and/or Microsoft Email platforms administration experience to include:
- Email routing
- Security management
- Core Workspace apps
- 2+ years of experience with enterprise integrations to include:
- SAML SSO
- Automated user provisioning (SCIM)
- Application APIs
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum delivery model
Preferred:
- Atlassian University certifications (e.g., ACP-100 Jira Administration, ACP-120, or Atlassian Certified System Administrator)
- Experience administering secondary SaaS tools such as Slack, Zendesk, or Confluence
- Hands-on experience with basic scripting/automation tools (e.g., Python, Groovy, REST APIs, Google Apps Script) for administrative workflows
