Skyhawks Sports is bringing high-energy, skill-building youth sports programming to Avimor, and we're looking for coaches and directors who love sports, love working with kids, and want to become a positive part of the Avimor community.
Our programs are designed for beginner to intermediate athletes, so our curriculum does the heavy lifting. That allows our coaches to focus on what matters most: the kids in front of them.
Whether you're introducing a young athlete to a sport for the first time or helping an older player build confidence and improve their skills, every child deserves a coach who sees them, encourages them, and makes them excited to come back each week. This isn't just another part-time job. It's an opportunity to become someone Avimor families know and trust.
TWO ROLES. ONE MISSION.
COACH | $17/hr:
- You're on the field, court, or gym floor leading groups of young athletes through fun, skill-based activities.
- You bring the energy. We provide the curriculum, equipment, training, and support.
- You'll work directly with kids, build relationships with families, and help create an environment where every athlete feels included and excited to participate.
- Great coaches can quickly earn additional responsibility and move into Director opportunities.
DIRECTOR | $19/hr:
- You help run the program.
- Directors lead coaches, communicate with families, manage equipment and schedules, and make sure every session runs smoothly and safely.
- You're the leader on the ground and one of the most important people in creating a great experience for kids and families in Avimor.
- Leadership, communication, reliability, and experience working with kids are especially valuable in this role.
FALL PROGRAMS: Our fall programming at Avimor may include:
- Multi-Sport.
- Soccer.
- Basketball.
- Flag Football.
- Volleyball.
- T-Ball / introductory sports.
- After-school youth sports.
- Youth enrichment programs.
Schedules and sports will vary based on program demand and facility availability.
TRAINING:
- All coaches and directors must complete online training and field training before working their first program.
- You'll receive the training information and schedule after hiring.
- You don't need to know everything about coaching when you start. We will teach you our curriculum and give you the tools you need to succeed.
- What we can't teach as easily is your energy, reliability, and ability to connect with kids.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead and energize groups of kids through age-appropriate sports activities.
- Teach fundamental skills in a fun, encouraging environment.
- Build genuine relationships with kids and families in Avimor.
- Communicate warmly and confidently with parents.
- Set up equipment and keep your program organized.
- Follow Skyhawks curriculum while adapting to the needs of your group.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for every athlete.
- Keep energy high and make sure kids leave each session excited to come back.
- Represent Skyhawks professionally within the Avimor community.
- Directors: Lead coaches, manage your program, communicate with families, and make sure the entire experience runs smoothly.
