SUMMARY
Q2 is seeking an experienced and innovative Atlassian Cloud Administrator to join our Enterprise Solutions team to help manage and evolve Q2’s Atlassian ecosystem. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert responsible for platform administration, advanced configuration, integrations, workflows, reporting, and related Marketplace applications and ancillary connections.
Our Atlassian Cloud Administrators partner with business and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions while optimizing platform performance, usability, and standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical judgment, a problem-solving mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize SaaS and enterprise-wide applications across business units.
- Analyze user needs and translate functional requirements into application solutions.
- The Applications Programming focus specializes in designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements and / or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or internet-related computer programs in commercial or end-user applications, such as mobile apps, materials management, financial management, or desktop applications products.
- Design and update application tables, forms, workflows, and data rules.
- Validate and maintain data integrity across system databases and reporting environments.
- Develop, test, and distribute custom and standard reports using tools such as SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls in line with security policies.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for application issues.
- Train end users and create documentation for system processes, usage, and updates.
- Collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommend improvements to applications, processes, and configuration standards based on analysis and feedback.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with no experience.
- Solid understanding of SaaS and enterprise application concepts (e.g., configuration, integrations, workflows, and user management).
- Hands-on experience supporting or configuring SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, or similar systems).
- A Platform thinker.
- Any Atlassian scripting experience (Forge, Groovy).
- Proficiency in building queries and reports; experience with reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of database structures, data validation, and application security.
- Ability to analyze business processes and recommend application or workflow enhancements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with incident resolution and change control procedures.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
