Position Title: Analyst II PPIS – MTC
Job Summary
The Analyst II PPIS supports the planning, coordination, and scheduling of production activities to help ensure products move through the manufacturing process efficiently and on time. This role works closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to assist with schedule updates, inventory needs, and daily workflow coordination. The Analyst II helps identify potential issues and communicates with team members to maintain smooth operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and updating production schedules based on customer orders, material availability, and production capacity.
- Monitor schedule progress and communicate changes to production teams.
- Support forecasting and capacity-planning activities as needed.
- Help maintain inventory levels by tracking raw materials, components, and work-in-progress (WIP) inventory.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of WIP, including fixtures, and report discrepancies to leadership.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, and shipping teams to support efficient product flow through all stages of manufacturing.
- Identify workflow issues and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Plan and coordinate shipment schedules in alignment with production completion dates.
- Ensure products are shipped on time to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics teams and third-party carriers to optimize delivery schedules.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support implementation of best practices in planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Provide data and observations to improve production efficiency and reduce delays.
- Assist with daily tracking of goals for each work center and prepare routine reports.
- Support weekend reporting responsibilities as assigned.
- Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives by gathering data, preparing documentation, and assisting with process reviews.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Additional Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory coordination, supply chain operations, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with production processes, material flow, and planning tools preferred.
- Working knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of material flow, production requirements, and inventory management concepts.
- Ability to apply established procedures and standard practices to support business operations.
- Ability to solve routine to moderately complex operational issues and escalate more complex concerns appropriately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and other business software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision while supporting cross-functional teams.
- Ability to collaborate with production, procurement, quality, logistics, and leadership teams.
- Ability to analyze, review, and direct the work of other employees.
