As an actuary at AIG, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential. Our actuaries are on the frontlines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIG’s major regulated and rated insurance operating companies globally. Our actuaries support AIG’s businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics and performance measurement.


How you will create an impact

We are seeking a senior pricing actuary to support our Foreign Casualty business.  The actuary will :

  • Help elevate the technical capabilities of the underwriting team through dynamic work projects such as
    • profitability studies
    • rater development and maintenance
    • large accounts pricing review, and planning support.  
  • Be a trusted business partner, working closely with the underwriting and claims departments to ensure profitable performance and growth. 
  • Partner with other actuaries in implementing best practices and analytical techniques
  • Assess the impact of loss trends and claims emergence.
  • Manage a team of 2-4 Actuaries

What we are looking for

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area
  • ACAS or FCAS
  • 7+ yrs Acuarial Pricing Experience
  • 2+ yrs Actuarial Management Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages preferred
  • Strong business and collaboration skills and responsive to service needs and operational demands
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skill

The base salary range for this position is $134,00-$167,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits, a summary of which can be viewed here: US Benefits Overview
