Description
- Help individuals develop and strengthen daily living and life skills.
- Provide assistance with personal care and activities of daily living when needed.
- Encourage individuals to make choices, express preferences, and build confidence.
- Support personal goals and celebrate progress along the way.
- Accompany individuals on community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and educational experiences.
- Help individuals develop meaningful social connections and participate in their community.
- Encourage independence and active participation in everyday activities.
- Assist with planning and facilitating engaging recreational, educational, and life-skills activities.
- Adapt activities based on each individual's interests, strengths, and abilities.
- Encourage individuals to explore new interests and develop new skills.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, supervisors, and other members of the support team.
- Follow individualized service plans and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using company-provided technology.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of relevant work or life experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal transportation with current auto insurance.
- Ability to travel within the community.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and drug screening.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.
