We are seeking a HNW CDD Specialist to support the Prudential High Net Worth (HNW) and Bermuda business. The role is responsible for executing first-line customer due diligence activities for the HNW business, including Bermuda. The role supports onboarding, policy servicing, and ongoing monitoring activities by performing customer risk assessments, validating documentation, and ensuring compliance with AML/CFT requirements.The role works closely with Case Managers, Underwriters, Distribution teams, and Compliance to support timely policy issuance while maintaining strong risk controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Due Diligence Execution
- Execute customer due diligence reviews for HNW policies, including Bermuda-based policies
- Conduct customer risk assessments in accordance with internal policies and procedures
- Verify customer identity, beneficial ownership, source of wealth, and source of funds
- Perform sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and jurisdictional screening
Risk Identification & Escalation
- Identify indicators of potential AML, sanctions, fraud, or financial crime risks
- Escalate high-risk, unusual, or complex cases to the Senior HNW CDD Specialist
- Support Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) activities where required
Governance and Quality Assurance
- Apply AML/CFT policies, procedures, and onboarding standards
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails
- Support regulatory reviews, audits, and remediation activities
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Case Managers to support CDD processes during onboarding– e.g., coordinate with Case Managers for inaccurate / incomplete documentation
- Work closely with Underwriters to ensure CDD requirements are satisfied prior to policy issuance
- Liaise with Distribution teams to ensure Distribution teams have clarity on CDD requirements and documentation expectations as part of customer onboarding process
Operational Excellence
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and operational projects for CDD processes
- Support ongoing monitoring and periodic review activities where required for CDD processes
Requirements & Qualifications:
- University graduate, preferably in Business, Risk Management or a related discipline
- 3–6 years of AML/KYC/CDD experience within insurance, banking, wealth management, trust, or financial services environments
- Experience conducting customer due diligence and customer risk assessments
- Understanding of AML/CFT, sanctions, and customer onboarding requirements
- Exposure to HNW/UHNW customers, trusts, family offices, or offshore structures preferred
- CAMS, ICA, or equivalent qualification advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
