Description
Your Key Responsibilities
- You will specialize in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / Material Resources Planning (MRP) integrity.
- Maintain SAP work order release schedule that provides material on-time to manufacturing and engineering. Reschedules and/or Technically Complete, all discrete jobs as required.
- Increase component availability at time of release by performing pre-shortage analysis.
- Performs work order variance analysis.
- Reviews MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information; reconciles supply and demand; validates master scheduling and/or PDS requirements.
- Reviews and ensures proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECO's).
- Performs regular system maintenance and audits to ensure system accuracy.
- Prepares status reports of all ECOs and ECRs in process
- Participates in floor audits with Finance and resolves WIP issues.
- Attends production meetings and provides status updates on material shortages, including expected receipt dates and supplier commitments. Communicates potential risks to production schedules, and ensure stakeholders are informed of any changes that could impact manufacturing priorities, customer deliveries, or project timelines. Tracks open shortages, follows up on critical materials, and helps coordinate recovery plans to minimize production disruptions.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly purchasing meetings, coming prepared with questions and data to support effective communication and decision-making.
- Attend project meetings as required to support assigned products and work centers, providing planning updates and addressing scheduling or material concerns.
- Crosstrain within the planning team to develop expertise across multiple areas and provide backup support when needed.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and other functional teams to maintain production schedules and support operational goals.
- Monitor material availability, production priorities, and schedule changes to help ensure on-time delivery.
- Work a standard Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm schedule and participate in rotating weekend coverage approximately once every five weeks. There may be times when it will be necessary to work additional hrs. outside of the standard work week based on customer escalation or urgency.
- Work with Order Management to change "make" level lead times in accordance with reality on the manufacturing floor.
- Works with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects. May work with work centers on shop floor control activities.
- Control – Analyzes usage data and stock levels to order parts to satisfy service levels; maintains inventory levels per plan and expedites shortages; may forecast spare parts needs. Examines material variances, resolves problems where possible, and/or communicates more difficult problems to management. Assists in setting up new inventory systems or modifying existing systems, when necessary; assigns appropriate expediting duties to expediters. May manage obsolete inventories.
- Process Control – Participates in identifying root cause and corrective action from PCI reporting and metrics, drives cycle counting.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years’ experience
- SAP experience preferred.
- Experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Office applications preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

Salary Range:
$64,000.00 - $88,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
