Description
We are seeking a safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our operations team in Duncan, SC. This position is responsible for operating a variety of heavy, medium, and light equipment to support material handling, recycling, and facility operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience safely operating equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate various types of heavy equipment, including:
Wheel Loaders
Skid Steers
Forklifts
Load, unload, transport, move, and stockpile materials throughout the facility.
Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required pre-trip and post-trip documentation.
Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including checking oil, fluids, tires, and reporting mechanical issues.
Monitor material flow and communicate operational concerns to supervisors.
Assist with facility maintenance, cleanup activities, and other operational tasks as needed.
Work collaboratively with team members to support efficient facility operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license required.
Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred, particularly with wheel loaders and skid steers.
Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy equipment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
Ability to climb in and out of equipment cabs frequently.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, and perform physical labor as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday
Day Shift: 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Weekly overtime available and expected as operational needs require.
Occasional Saturday work may be required to support facility operations and recover from downtime during the workweek.
Working Conditions
This position works in an industrial recycling environment with exposure to moving machinery, dust, noise, vibration, uneven terrain, and varying weather conditions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times and will be provided.
