Primary Care Physician | Southbury, Connecticut

Join a well-established, not-for-profit community hospital seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient practice in Southbury, Connecticut. Candidates with a background in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine will be considered.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups
• Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and routine health screenings
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care delivery
• Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Training: Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Licensure: Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility)

Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Experience: All experience levels welcome; new graduates encouraged to apply

Compensation & Work Environment

Salary: $270,000–$325,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
